Regular vision testing helps to ensure that you are achieving the clearest vision possible. To assess your vision, your optometrist will measure how each eye is seeing by using an automated eye test as well as a reading eye chart.
Your optometrist will also look at how your eyes are functioning. These tests help to determine if your eyes are working well together by evaluating your depth perception, eye muscle movements and capabilities, peripheral vision, responsiveness to light and focusing ability.
Depending on the results of your vision test, your optometrist may prescribe glasses, contacts, or eye exercises.
