Ocular Imaging and Visual Field Testing

OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography)

OCT is available at Renfrew Eye Clinic. OCT is a non-invasive imaging test that uses light waves to take cross-section pictures of your retina and optic nerve.

Your optometrist at Renfrew Eye Clinic will use the OCT to help diagnose or monitor conditions such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, optic nerve swelling, and diabetic eye disease. This is another important procedure in maintaining good eye health.

Humphrey Visual Field Analysis (HVF)

The HVF Analyzer at Renfrew Eye Clinic allows your optometrist to measure your peripheral and central vision in a very simple yet accurate way. This testing allows for the diagnosis or monitoring of many ocular or neurological disorders such as glaucoma, strokes, or multiple sclerosis. The Ministry of Transportation may also request this test be done as part of a driver’s vision assessment.
